Position Summary:

Reporting to the Vice-President of Sales, the Director of Trade & Customer Service works as liaison with exclusive distribution partner to manage, support, and direct the supply, demand, customer service and distribution functions of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as liaison between manufacturer, distributor, key clients and customers to assure uninterrupted and even flow of products through supply and demand chains
  • Facilitates consensus meetings with Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other internal customers to collaboratively work with peers in developing and achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets as well as ensuring net sales objectives are achieved
  • Provides Accounting and other departments key information in a timely fashion to enable appropriate reporting, close and budget deadlines are met
  • Works with Manufacturing, Marketing, and Finance and other departments to establish and maintain appropriate levels in pipeline
  • Actively participates in new product launch and planning, coordinating new product recommended quantities and forecasts
  • Supports the process of developing and publishing forecasts for demand and supply of products
  • Involved in negotiating and implementing agreement with exclusive distributor
  • Manages and supervises Internal Customer Service, responsibilities include: training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Other duties as assigned by VP Sales

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA-preferred
  • At least 10 years in pharmaceutical, life science and/or healthcare industry
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, supply chain logistics, and/or Trade
  • Minimum three (3) years of people management experience
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical and/or consumer packaged goods environment strongly preferred
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Must have excellent PC skills (MS Office), familiar with forecasting software as well as database tools
  • Self-starter and a team player that will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Self-organization, time management and prioritization skills
  • Willingness to travel 20-25% of the time
